An honest and thoughtful post on editing and the self-critique, at Heather Knight Ceramics, is a good reminder to stay critical.

I’m glad to let some old work go: it wasn’t good for what it was or where I was. There’s some relief in there. Fortunately, I’ve gotten more ruthless in my early editing. I’m not afraid to make some bad pots in order to figure something out, and I’m not afraid to break down or slake down a piece that I’m just not happy with.
