Custom CLLB Scintillator Crystals for Neutron–Gamma PSD

CLLB (Cs₂LiLaBr₆:Ce) is an elpasolite scintillator that supports gamma spectroscopy and neutron detection in a single crystal by using pulse shape discrimination (PSD) to separate neutron and gamma events. 

Typical applications

• Neutron/gamma portal or mobile detection (isotope ID + neutron flagging)
• Nuclear safeguards and nonproliferation
• Lab neutron detection with gamma background
• Field instruments (PMT or SiPM-based)

Gamma (¹³⁷Cs @ 662 keV)

• Light yield: >40,000 photons/MeV 
• Energy resolution @ 662 keV: <4% FWHM 

Neutron + PSD

• Thermal neutron response: via ⁶Li capture, 
• PSD FOM (placeholder): FOM >1.4
